chanel
Well, here’s a story we’ve yet to see this season: DENIM. And … the American flag!? I love Chanel, I really do. I think Karl s a genius. But even geniuses can have bad days, right!? I mean, most of this collection is atrocious. Sure, there are some classic Chanel tweeds worked in, but overall it’s a big ode to Americana. And I am not a big fan of that.
Some of the jackets actually are wearable. It also seems as if Karl Lagerfeld threw trends — sheer, masculine and the wide-leg pant (which apparently will continue on into spring) — at his models. Some of them worked. Others turned into the red, white and blue mess I avoid in my daily outfits like the plague. Nothing worse to me than looking like walking down the street.
