I found myself writing about fashion a lot in my personal blog. I pretty much live to shop for clothes and shoes. Sure, buying other stuff is nice, but nothing beats ripping the price tag off a piece of clothing as you slip it on in the morning.

My investment in my wardrobe, geez, I have no idea. But I would have to say (including clothes, shoes, jewelry, etc.) close to $50,000. Pretty much about what it took to send me to college. I like high-end designers and some lower-end unique items. I buy everything from Marc Jacobs to Coach to BCBG to Target clothes. Of course, I can afford the lower end more frequently than the higher end, but that doesn’t mean I can’t lust over the designer duds.

Since I’ve entered the working world, it’s become increasingly more difficult to A) buy stuff, and B) stop myself from buying stuff. I am watching my bank account like a hawk. I might have a $2 balance, but I’m determined to not go into the hole. Oh, by the way, I’m a writer. I’m wrking as a newspaper reporter for the time being. Who knows where I’ll end up.

This blog also has an alterior motive. I am starting a boutique, I hope, online. I will start selling clothes, etc., that I am ready to get rid of … and eventually start running an online boutique. I will go out and buy items and resell them. Popular, hard-to-find and vintage items.

But for now, this will just be a blog about fashion. My taste … what I like, what I hate. And style icons. I think so often we lose sight of who we should be emulating .. Channel Audrey Hepburn, not Kate Moss. Doing good for the world vs. Coke addict. The choice should be easy and apparent.

Fashion and modeling has a huge hold on culture in the United States and the world. This is just my opinion on it…

Me on the Great Smokey Mountain Railroad, modeling my new winter hat. Being from the South, and growing up a swimmer, I don’t own many winter clothes. So when I buy something winter-y, forgive me, but I get excited.
